The Primary Election is Tuesday, July 30, 2024, with the Mayor’s seat and three Council member seats (four-year terms) on the ballot. If all the seats are not filled, a General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
Current incumbents whose seats expire in 2024 are Mayor John Leech, Jr. and Council members Jon Adams, Bryce Judd, and Connie Kakavas.
Candidate Signature Requirements
A minimum of 137 and a maximum of 273 petition signatures are required to qualify for the ballot. Those interested in running for City office in 2024 must contact the City Clerk’s office at 928.532.4061 to set up a meeting and file a Candidate Statement of Interest prior to collecting nomination signatures.

Filing a Statement of Interest does not mean that a candidate will appear on the ballot for a particular election. To appear on the ballot, a candidate must submit valid nomination documents (including a nomination paper and sufficient petition signatures) by the applicable deadline.
