Read for Fun & Prizes!

Summer Reading

Summer Reading provides fun and exciting opportunities for children and teenagers to explore the world of reading and lifelong learning while helping to prevent the “summer slide” kids’ experience being out of school. Summer Reading features exciting events, such as Pawsome Readers (read to a therapy dog program), Craft Events and Special Events. We also offer Summer Reading opportunities for teens and adults!

This year will be our first year for an online summer reading program.    You will be going on missions, reading lots of books, attending fun activities and playing fun games all to earn points towards badges!  Badges will earn you prizes plus if you complete the program you will receive a great summer reading prize and be entered into the drawing for the grand prize!  Stay tuned for more details as summer reading draws closer.  Click here to visit the summer reading website for more details and to register online starting May 15th.

 How does it work?

  • Starting on May 15th you can register online and at the library to start earning your badges.
  • As you earn badges, you will earn prizes.
  • Books, graphic novels, reading to dog, being read to, and listening to audiobooks all count!
  • When you complete the program, you will receive a great prize!
  • Everyone who completes the program will be entered into a drawing for a grand prize!

Our sincere thanks to our 2017 Summer Reading sponsors!
