INTERNATIONAL OBSERVE THE MOON NIGHT

Saturday, October 20, 2018

International Observe the Moon Night is celebrated all over the world. Come participate in the library's event which will include several different activities for all ages. We will be building our our Mars Rovers, learning about the USPS stamp that was created to celebrate the moon, taking pictures with our green screen that puts you on the moon and creating special art work. We will also be showcasing a special NASA exhibit of moon rocks and meteorites as well as a space suit worn by an astronaut that walked on the moon! These exhibits are very unique and our library is the only library in the state of Arizona to have these. This event is made possible by our NASA @ My Library Grant. Telescopes will be available to view our beautiful moon as well as our glorious night sky! This is a special event and not to be missed!
