[ARCHIVED] UPDATE: Missing special needs person located

SHOW LOW, Ariz. (May 12, 2017) – Curtis Begay, a 60-year-old Native American male, who was missing earlier today, was safely located by law enforcement at approximately 6:00 p.m. today.

            We thank everyone for their assistance with Curtis’ safe recovery.


SHOW LOW, Ariz. (May 12, 2017) – At approximately 1:30 p.m. on May 12, 2017, Curtis Begay, a 60-year-old Native American male, walked away from his caregivers while at Dollar Tree in the Park Pineway Plaza in Show Low. Curtis is legally deaf and blind and was last seen wearing a dark beanie, dark shirt, dark pants, and an eye patch.   Curtis is 5’1” tall, 110 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.
          Curtis has no family or friends in the area, and it is not known which direction he went when he left Dollar Tree. If anyone should see Curtis, please contact the Show Low Police Department at (928) 537-8346 or call 911.
