[ARCHIVED] Show Low Library Celebrates National Teen Read Week

Daily events from Oct. 9 through 13

 SHOW LOW, Ariz. (September 26, 2017) – Show Low Public Library at 181 N. 9th Street is hosting a series of daily events for teens, ages 13 to 18, from Oct. 9 through 13 to celebrate National Teen Read week and this year’s theme of “Unleash Your Story.” Monday, Oct. 9, is “Book Tasting and Journal Jar” from 3 to 5 p.m., Tuesday features “Melted Crayon Art” and “Painting Library Bookends” from 3 to 5 p.m., Wednesday is “Teen Lego Designs” from 2 to 4 p.m., Thursday is “Building Your Own Comic Strip” from 3 to 5 p.m. and Friday attendees will be treated to the movie, “Freedom Writers” (a 2007 drama about a young teacher who inspires her class of at-risk students to educate and better themselves) from 3 to 5 p.m. The events are free and no preregistration is required.
