Day honors fair play, perseverance, respect and sportsmanship
SHOW LOW, Ariz. (May 29, 2018) – Celebrate Olympic Day—a worldwide commemoration of the founding of the modern Olympic Games—with a free day of family-friendly BMX racing on Saturday, June 9, at the Show Low BMX track, 1001 E. Mills. Registration and practice runs from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., with the race immediately following. Riders of all skill levels and ages are invited to participate.
BMX racing made its Olympic debut at the 2008 Beijing Games. Every June, USA BMX joins forces with the U.S. Olympic Committee and USA Cycling to celebrate Olympic Day with a free day of racing at participating BMX tracks around the country. Show Low’s race is one of more than 2,000 nationwide events. Olympic Day honors the values of fair play, perseverance, respect and sportsmanship regardless of age, gender or athletic ability.
