SHOW LOW, Ariz. (August 27, 2018) – Mystery-loving
adults, 18 years and older, collaborate to solve a fictional case about hidden
treasure at another Mystery Experience, “The Treasure of Abbot Thomas,” on Thursday,
Sept. 27, from 10 a.m. to noon or 6 to 8 p.m. at Show Low Public Library, 181
N. 9th Street. Two sessions are offered to accommodate everyone’s schedule.
In
the city of Port St. James, Abbot Thomas ran a monastery which purportedly
contained a cache of hidden treasure. The treasure’s location as old as The
Knights Templar remained hidden following his death. Several centuries later,
scholar John Whittington is asked to catalog the abbey’s library and he
stumbles across a clue in a book to the famous treasure’s location. Work together with other Mystery Experience
sleuths to sift through the clues and unlock the treasure’s location through ciphers, riddles
and secret messages. But, is there a menacing presence hovering around the
abbey? Help the scholar find the treasure before it is too late.
