Interactive workshop for children and parents/caregivers
SHOW LOW, Ariz. (February 25, 2019) – A series of three Kinder Prep interactive parent-child workshops to help children, ages 3 to 5 years, and their parents/caregivers prepare for kindergarten will be held on consecutive Thursdays (March 21, March 28 and April 4) from 11:00 a.m. to noon at Show Low Public Library, 181 N. 9th Street. Kinder Prep pre-literacy workshops focus on the skills needed for entrance into kindergarten in language and literacy, social competence and social-emotional growth and pre-mathematics literacy. Sessions focus on inexpensive, at-home activities known to encourage brain development. Materials will be provided and participants will receive gifts for attending. Though it is not required to attend all sessions, participants are encouraged to attend every class to get the full value of this program. No pre-registration is required, but a parent or guardian must accompany each child to the session. For more information, call (928) 532-4070.
