Gardeners can borrow seeds from the library
SHOW LOW, Ariz. (March 18, 2019) – A new service to the community in the form of a seed library is being offered with a free workshop to introduce this addition on April 8, 2019, at the Show Low Public Library, 181 N. 9th Street from 10 to 11 a.m. This new service is being brought to the community through a partnership with the White Mountain Community Garden. Seed libraries are offered across the country as a way for gardeners to “borrow” seeds from the library and then save the seeds from the plants they grow and return them to the library for others to use. The workshop will be taught by Kris Coates, a member of the White Mountain Community Garden, who has over 50 years of experience gardening in four different states. No registration is required. For more information, visit the library or call (928) 532-4070.
