Swearing in will take place March 17
Show Low, AZ (March 11, 2020) – Show Low Mayor Daryl Seymore announced that Councilman John Leech, Jr. submitted his letter of resignation from the City Council, effective March 10, for the seat that expires December 2022. The Council met the evening of March 10 to discuss filling Councilman Leech’s seat and a seat that expires December 2020, which has been vacant since Councilman Rennie Crittenden passed away in January.
The Council voted to appoint John Leech, Jr. to fill the remainder of Rennie Crittenden’s term and voted to appoint Brandt Clark, long-time Show Low resident, to fill the term that expires December 2022.
“We look forward to continuing to work with Councilman Leech and working with Councilman Clark. Both men are well qualified to continue the city’s reputation for excellence and conservative budgeting,” said City Manager Ed Muder.
Councilmen Leech and Clark will be sworn in at the Regular City Council meeting on Tuesday, March 17, which begins at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers located at 181 N. 9th Street.
