    One 20’ x 30’ space and entry into competition for BBQ Chicken, Ribs, Brisket, $300.00 and Pork (Boston butt, picnic, & whole shoulder). Judging will be on Saturday May 4th, 2019.

  6. Entry & Space Fees: Early Bird Registration Ends on April 19,

    Early Bird Registration - Payment must be received on or before April 19, 2019 to receive the $50.00 discount.

  8. Championship Qualifications:

    Competitors must enter all four categories to qualify for Grand Champion & Reserve Grand Champion.

  12. Will you be participating in People’s Choice? (50/50 proceeds) begins at 1:45 p.m. until the food runs out.*

  13. VENDOR PARTICIPATION:

    Saturday, May 4th-Food vending hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Must provide copy of insurance w/endorsement listing the City of Show Low as the additional insured.

  15. SALES TAX ID. Exhibitors must include Arizona Sales Tax ID # on application if selling goods at the event. To acquire a Tax ID (#) number, contact the Arizona Department of Revenue at 602.255.2060. You can also download the form from www.azdor.gov. If you do not currently run a business in Show Low, Arizona a vendor permit will be required and can be obtained by calling 928.532.4000. Vendor permits require a 5-day processing period.

  16. HEALTH DEPT.

    Any exhibitor giving away or selling food in their booth is responsible for all health permits, rules, regulations, etc. Exhibitors are responsible for meeting all State resale licensing requirements. To acquire a permit, contact the Navajo County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Department at 928.532.6050.

  17. BBQ SAMPLES & SALES:

    Competitors may not hand out any food products other than the 4 meats cooked in the Pro BBQ Competition for People’s Choice, unless they are an approved vendor. All competitors may sell their own team t-shirts, sauces, etc., any other products are prohibited.

  18. REGISTRATION FEES, CANCELLATIONS, & DEADLINES:

    All registration fees are non-refundable. There is no registration deadline but you must have your registration fee in on or before APRIL 19, 2019 in order to receive the Early Bird discount fee of $50.00!

  19. WAIVER:

    In consideration of my participation in the BBQ and related events, intending to be legally bound thereby, I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, and administrators, waive and release any and all rights and claims for damages I may have against the City of Show Low, Kansas City Barbeque Society, the host sponsors, and all of their representatives, successors, and assigns for any and all injuries suffered by myself, my heirs, executors, and administrators with respect to Kansas City Barbeque Society in cooperation with the City of Show Low, AZ. Further, I hereby grant full permission to the City of Show Low and/or agents authorized by them, to use any photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of Show Low BBQ Throwdown and related events for any legitimate reason. I agree to abide by the rules and regulations of City of Show Low BBQ Throwdown and the Kansas City Barbeque Society. The City of Show Low reserves the right to refuse entry/service to any competitor, vendor, participant, etc.

  20. TOTAL TEAM FEES DUE:

    Competitor registration is not complete until payment is received. Please pay within 14 days of application submittal or application will be considered void.
