Traffic Enforcement is a vital and high-priority area for our agency and community. During peak season Show Low experiences over 900,000 vehicles traveling through the city. Traffic accidents account for the highest number of incidents of property damage, injuries, and long-term loss and suffering. Our officers are trained and equipped in an on-going effort to address this problem, which ultimately affects everyone in the community.
Enforcement efforts include joint efforts with the White Mountain DUI Task Force and special area enforcement. The department was awarded funding from the Governor's Office of Highway Safety specifically for additional traffic enforcement, which resulting in a significant increase in traffic contacts.
