100 Mile Challenge 2020

KICK OFF Friday, June 5 Show Low Family Aquatic Center 2:00-6:30 p.m. Achieve your official first mile with other 100 Milers. Walk or jog a mile around Show Low City Park (1.1 mile)
END CELEBRATION Saturday, September 12 Show Low City Park, Senior Field 9:00-12:00 p.m. in conjunction with 5K Fun Run/Walk and Itty Bitty Olympics
Continue 2020 with a healthy challenge for you and your family. You can even bring the dog!
Are you ready to get up and move? Do you want to win prizes? Walk, jog, run a mile a day for 100 days or participate in 20 minutes of continuous physical activity (swim, yoga, aerobics, ski, skateboarding, weightlifting etc.) it all counts as one mile! Get creative and remember it’s all about having fun while making a lifestyle change! The program is self-reporting; you are accountable for tracking your own miles. You can simply do one mile a day or you can complete 2 miles one day and take a break the next – the goal is to complete 100 miles (or more) in 100 days, it’s all up to you. 200 miles if you’re cycling or horseback riding.
You may register as an individual or as part of a group in our Group Participation Challenge.
The Group Challenge is to form a group in one of the four categories: School, Senior Center, Community Group, Business Group or SL Government Department. Register as many participants as possible in your group. Give your group a unique name and participants must enter that name when they register. Anyone can be in your group; friends, family, neighbors, etc. Recruit as many as possible to register and complete the challenge! Call (928) 532-4140 to have your group name entered into the system before registration.
All registered paid participants are automatically eligible to win weekly prizes. Weekly prize winners will be randomly drawn each Thursday, and winners announced via our website showlowaz.gov. To claim your prize throughout the challenge, you must provide your miles tracking form to the Recreation Department at City Hall, 180 N. 9th Street, Show Low. Winners must claim their prize within 2 weeks of winning date or another name will be drawn. To be entered into the Grand Prize drawing(s) you must provide a completed and signed miles tracking form at the End Celebration that will be held on September 12, 2020. Participant must be present to win.
