REGISTRATION AND IMPORTANT INFORMATION
REGISTER EARLY!
For most of our programs to be conducted, a minimum enrollment of 6 participants must be reached or will be cancelled 6 business days prior to the program’s starting date. In addition, many programs have a maximum enrollment due to facility schedule and instructor requirements.
Participants are registered on a first-come, first-served basis. Some programs require a late fee after registration ends if space permits. No refunds issued unless a program is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment or if a class is already in progress.
RETURNED CHECKS
A $25.00 service charge will be assessed for all checks returned to the Recreation Department. Returned checks cannot be redeposited. Only cash or a money order can be used to replace the returned check and service charge.
After 3 returned checks from a household, all future payments must be made in cash.
INSURANCE
The City of Show Low’s standard liability insurance policy does not cover medical costs for anyone injured during the normal course of participation in any Recreation Department program or facility. ALL persons participate at their own risk.
CANCELLATIONS
Refunds will not be issued because of inclement weather, unless it results in closing the City facility hosting the event during the session or rental.
Classes, camps, programs, workshops and special events cancelled by the City of Show Low will result in a full refund of the program fee paid.
Any activity cancelled under $10 will be credited to participant’s account.
PHOTO POLICY
Capturing the moment. By attending any City of Show Low Parks & Recreation program, participants understand that their and/or their family’s picture(s) may be taken.
We use photographs for quality improvement and also in future marketing materials. Names are not published without specific permission granted by a participant.
INSTRUCTORS WANTED
Instructors are essential in our Department’s efforts to meet lifelong learning and recreational needs of Show Low citizens. Anyone wishing to lead a class or program should email Recreation Coordinator Melissa King. Show Low Recreation is always seeking competent instructors in a variety of subjects and disciplines.
VOLUNTEER
We are always looking for volunteers to assist with special events, programs, and parks. If interested in becoming a volunteer, contact the Parks and Recreation office at City Hall.
