Featuring Nintendo, PlayStation and Xbox games
SHOW LOW, Ariz. (July 20, 2015) – Registered Show Low Public Library cardholders
can now borrow video games from the library’s current collection of Nintendo Wii and
Wii U, Sony PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, and Microsoft Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
Cardholders may borrow up to two games at a time for up to seven days.
Video games have many proven benefits, including improving hand-to-eye
coordination and fine motor skills; developing skills in reading, math, technology and
problem-solving; encouraging teamwork and cooperation when played with others;
encouraging participation in related offline activities, such as reading or sports; and
making kids feel comfortable with technology, which is particularly important for girls,
who traditionally do not use technology as much as boys.
The library plans to add to this new collection based on user demand and is
accepting any new or gently used video games as donations. For more information, visit
