SHOW LOW, Ariz. (Sept. 18, 2015) – Results show that the seventh annual free region-wide electronic waste recycling event held in Show Low on August 29 was another success. A record 402 vehicles from across northeastern Arizona dropped off 50,088 pounds of electronic waste. Over the past seven years, this event has proven to be the most popular of its kind statewide with a cumulative total of 522,289 pounds of electronic waste collected from 2,450 vehicles.
“We are pleased with the continued support of all of the communities of northeastern Arizona that help make this event one of the most successful of its kind in the entire state,” said Show Low Mayor Daryl Seymore. This annual event is produced by a partnership between the City of Show Low, Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, Town of Pinetop-Lakeside, Navajo County, White Mountain Apache Tribe Environmental Protection Office, Northland Pioneer College and E-Waste Harvesters of Phoenix.
