[ARCHIVED] Free movie in the park on Oct. 23 for the entire family

SHOW LOW, Ariz. (September 18, 2015) – Come enjoy a night under the stars and watch an acclaimed family-friendly movie, Disney’s PG-rated Into the Woods on Friday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m. at the Ponderosa Field, Show Low City Park, 751 S. Clark Road. Bring a camping chair or blanket and experience the fun of watching a movie outdoors! Kettle corn and other delicious treats will be available for purchase.
Into the Woods is an adaption of composer Stephen Sondheim's popular Broadway musical by director Rob Marshall and Walt Disney Studios. Inspired by a selection of Brothers Grimm fairy tale characters, this fanciful tale focuses on a baker (James Corden) and his wife (Emily Blunt) who incur the wrath of a witch (Meryl Streep) and are cursed to remain childless. The unfortunate couple find their fates linked with those of Cinderella (Anna Kendrick) and her Prince Charming (Chris Pine), Little Red Riding Hood (Lilla Crawford) and the Wolf (Johnny Depp), Rapunzel (MacKenzie Mauzy) and Jack (Daniel Huttlestone) of Jack and the Beanstalk.
This free event is sponsored by the City of Show Low. For more information, call the Parks and Recreation department at (928) 532-4140.
