Summer reading program at Show Low Public Library
SHOW LOW, Ariz. (May 20, 2016) – The Show Low Public Library, 181 N. 9th Street, kicks off its annual summer reading program with a party on Wednesday, June 1, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Through July 25, you and your child can enjoy reading, movies, story times, crafts, activities, therapy dogs and much more! All events are free of charge although some events require pre-registration due to limited supplies (tickets will be available at the library).
Experts agree that children who read during the summer maintain good reading skills and perform better than their peers when school resumes in the fall. Keep up your child’s achievement and have fun through the summer reading program.
This year’s program is sponsored by Around the Mountain Pediatric Dentistry, Dollar General Literacy Foundation and Show Low Library Friends. For an event calendar or more information, call (928) 532-4070, go to www.showlowaz.gov/library or email library@showlowaz.gov.
