SHOW LOW, Ariz. (May 20, 2016) – Teens and pre-teens can learn basics and train in advanced babysitting skills and techniques this summer in a two-day class from Babysitter’s Magic Backpack creator, Melissa King. For $45 (includes supplies), children ages 10 to 18 will have fun in this informative session. The two-day session takes place July 12 and 13 from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. each day at the Show Low City Campus teen center at 620 E. McNeil in Show Low.
Babysitters will learn step-by-step the basics of childcare and safety. They will also learn valuable Magic Backpack techniques to entertain children, promote themselves to find babysitting jobs, manage money and records, and turn babysitting into a profitable, successful business. The training will teach participants to be professional and organized and, ultimately, how to become the most popular babysitter in their area.
Participants will receive a Babysitter's Magic Backpack (BMB) instructional manual and certificate of completion. Class sizes are limited. Early registration is highly recommended. The first 25 people to register will receive a free BMB backpack. Register at the Show Low Parks and Recreation desk at City Hall (180 N. 9th Street) or the Family Aquatic Center (1100 W.
