[ARCHIVED] Learn Online Ways to Get the Facts at Free Library Class

SHOW LOW, Ariz. (August 1, 2016) – Like to check facts and learn about hot issues trending now? A one-hour class for teens and adults will show you how to access premium websites for free with your library card on Wednesday, Aug. 10, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Show Low Public Library, 181 N. 9th Street. The free class will be taught by Paula Wilson, a library consultant with the Arizona State Library, Archives & Public Records.

“If you are someone that ‘needs to know’ or you have an insatiable appetite for getting the facts right, or you just want to keep the conversation going, this informative and fun class will do just that,” said Wilson. She added, “If you want to learn more about any current controversial topic and the pros and cons, the library subscribes to a site called Opposing Viewpoints which will be covered in class.”

Students may bring their own laptop or follow along with the instructor. To sign up for the program or for more information, register at showlowaz.gov/library or call (928) 532-4065. This project is supported by the Arizona State Library, Archives & Public Records, with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
