SHOW LOW, Ariz. (November 1, 2016) – Kick off your holiday festivities with Show Low’s annual Christmas Light Parade on Saturday, Dec. 3, beginning at 6 p.m. along the Deuce of Clubs. Everyone will delight in the many floats with their beautiful light displays that depict this year’s theme, “Storybook Christmas.” The kids won’t want to miss Santa waving to the crowd as he takes a quick break from his workshop at the North Pole. The parade entry fee for businesses, community groups and families is $20, accepted until Nov. 29. Parade entries have a chance to vie for cash prizes, so it’s not too early to start designing your float. Parade applications are available at Show Low City Hall, 180 N. 9th Street, or the Family Aquatic Center, 1100 W. Deuce of Clubs. For more information about this year’s Show Low Shines parade, call (928) 532-4141.
Following the parade, head over to Show Low City Hall on 9th Street for the annual Christmas tree-lighting ceremony at 7 p.m., sponsored by Show Low Main Street. The community tree will be adorned with ornaments hand-crafted by Show Low’s elementary school students. Come enjoy both events and get into the spirit of the season!
