Friday, Feb. 17, is the deadline for applications from citizens interested in serving on any of the following City of Show Low committees (applicants must reside within the city limits, with the exception of the Aviation Advisory Committee):
- The Planning and Zoning Commission deliberates and makes recommendations to the City Council on planning and zoning issues, including land use, growth and development, and zoning districts
- The Board of Adjustment considers variances and appeals related to land use and planning and zoning (applicants should understand land use and building codes or work in a related technical trade)
- The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee considers and makes recommendations to the City Council on matters related to open space, parks, fields and recreation policies and programs
- The Aviation Advisory Committee discusses and makes recommendations to the City Council on aviation issues and, specifically, the Show Low Regional Airport (applicants may include pilots, non-pilots, business people and citizens, and must reside in Navajo County; Show Low residents are preferred)
