SHOW LOW, Ariz. (April 5, 2017) – Learn basic BMX racing skills—gates, first straight, jumps, turns and rhythms—through a series of training clinics in May and June, open to all ages, at the Show Low BMX track at Nikolaus Homestead Park, 1001 E. Mills. On selected Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., choose from Introduction to BMX 1, The Basics, on May 10 or June 7, and Introduction to BMX 2, Getting the Hang of It, on May 17 or June 14. Each class is $5 per rider.
More experienced riders will enjoy individual skills training at the BMX Summer Basic Training Camp for $50 a rider, held on four consecutive Fridays in June from 9 to 11 a.m. June 2 features gates and pumping, June 9 is manualing and jumping, June 16 is turns and pack skills, and June 23 brings it all together with basic training for BMX and using the track for training.
