Summer racing season runs from May 13 to July 1

SHOW LOW, Ariz. (April 20, 2017) – Join the excitement as the City of Show Low kicks off the 2017 BMX summer season with the “Race for Life,” a single-point race helping the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society fight blood-related cancers, on Saturday, May 13, at the Show Low BMX track, Nikolaus Homestead Park, 1001 E. Mills. Registration and practice are from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., with the races beginning as soon as racetrack preparations are completed. Race classifications will be grouped by age for novice, intermediate and expert riders, with a $10 entry fee per race classification. (The $10 fee will be split between the $5 race fee and a $5 minimum donation to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.) If you have never raced before, a one-day FREE introductory membership is available to give you the chance to experience the sport. A 30-day membership for $30 or a full (annual) membership for $60 is available for purchase online at usabmx.com.

The City of Show Low thanks the generosity of sponsors CD Miller Backhoe Service, Hatch Construction & Paving, Inc., and Western Grade LLC/Western Materials for assisting with the BMX track’s new revised layout. For additional information, call Melissa King at (928) 532-4140.
