SHOW LOW, Ariz. (August 15, 2017) – Learn basic BMX racing skills at our BMX fall clinics with Introductory Clinic 1 (The Basics) on Wednesday, August 30, or Wednesday, Sept. 27, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. This one-hour class will teach bike fit and maintenance, safety equipment and proper fit, basic pedaling/pedals level, introduction to the track, obstacle names, basic pumping and balancing on the gate. Introductory Clinic 2 (Getting the Hang of It) follows on Wednesday, Sept. 6, or Wednesday, Oct. 4, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. This one-hour class will teach how the race works and how to read “moto” sheets, local BMX rules and programs and USA BMX programs, bunny hopping and setting a foundation, basic turns and pump laps. Loaner bikes and helmets will be available for use. The clinics will be held at the Show Low BMX track at Nikolaus Homestead Park, 1001 E Mills. Cost per participant is $5 per one-hour clinic.
