Grant award is $15,000
SHOW LOW, Ariz. (September 18, 2017) – As the old cliché goes, “Third time’s a charm”! After submitting three grant applications over the past few years, Show Low Public Library, through the Show Low Library Friends, has been awarded a $15,000 grant from the Fiesta Bowl Charities. The grant will fund an interactive playground erected in the grassy area outside the library at 181 N. 9th Street. The playground, which expands the library’s early literacy program, will be open during regular library hours.
“We are thrilled to receive these grant funds, which will allow us to offer an interactive playground that will be both fun and educational for our youngsters to explore and enjoy,” said Library Services Manager Lisa Lewis.
Construction of the playground is anticipated to begin in late October or early November. For more information, call (928) 532-4070, go to www.showlowaz.gov/library or email library@showlowaz.gov.
