SHOW LOW, Ariz. (June 14, 2018) – The City of Show Low is partnering with the Dove
Self-Esteem Project to encourage girls, ages 10 to 14 years, to develop a
positive relationship with beauty, raise their self-esteem and enable them to
realize their full potential. Called “Girl Power,” Show Low’s program spans
four Fridays in June and July (June 29, July 6, July 13 and July 20) from 1:30
to 3:30 p.m. at the Show Low City Campus Teen Center, 620 E. McNeil, for $25
per participant. Girls can gain confidence by understanding and dealing with
feelings about their physical appearance through a variety of activities, games
and interpersonal interaction. Healthy snacks will be provided.
Pre-registration
is required (class size must reach a minimum of seven girls by June 26).

The Dove Self-Esteem Project was created in 2004 to
help young people overcome body image issues and fulfill their potential by building positive body confidence and self-esteem.
