LOW, Ariz. (June 21, 2018) – Musical bands and food trucks from the White
Mountains and across Arizona are invited to enter the inaugural “Battle of the Bands
& Food Vans” competition on Saturday, September 1, from 3 to 10 p.m. at
Frontier Fields, 660 N. 9th Place in Show Low. One winner in each category,
determined by audience vote, will win a $1,000 grand prize.
Entry fee is $150 for a food truck. Each truck must
supply sample portions to event attendees for $1 to $5 per sample. Food trucks may
also prepare regular menu items for sale at the event.
Entry fee is $150 for bands, with bands
encouraged to find a sponsoring individual, business or organization. Sponsors
will receive a promotional booth and be mentioned as band sponsor when the band
performs. Each band plays a 30-minute set and may erect merchandise tents.
The event is cosponsored by Show Low Main
Street and Medieval Mayhem Historical Arts Foundation, both nonprofit
organizations. The proceeds will be used for beautification projects in downtown
Show Low and educational scholarships. For more information or to
