[ARCHIVED] ‘Cook the Books’ Club Meets Sept. 24 for Foodies Who Love to Read, Eat and Relish a Mystery

A book club for cooking murder mystery aficionados

SHOW LOW, Ariz. (September 18, 2018) – An appetizing new monthly book club for adults (ages 18 and older) who love to eat and who relish murder mysteries involving the world of gastronomy will kick off on Monday, Sept. 24, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Show Low Public Library, 181 N. 9th Street. The first mystery will be “Cook the Books” by Jessica Conant-Park, one of the Gourmet Girl book series that stars Chloe Carter, a 20-something gourmand. Check out and read the book before the Sept. 24 meeting, then meet with fellow readers to discuss the book and eat one of the delicious recipes contained in the book. Cook the Book participants will have a chance to volunteer to choose the following month’s book and pick and create one of the recipes for the other club members to enjoy. No registration is required. For more information, call (928) 532-4075.
