[ARCHIVED] ‘Cook the Books’ Club Meets Nov. 19 for Foodies Who Love to Read, Eat and Savor Murder Mysteries

A book club for gastronomic murder mysteries

SHOW LOW, Ariz. (October 31, 2018) – The monthly “Cook the Books” club for adults (18 years and older) who love murder mysteries set in the world of gastronomy will meet Monday, Nov. 19, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Show Low Public Library, 181 N. 9th Street. The mystery is “Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder” by Joanne Fluke, the first mouth-watering crime novel featuring cookie shop owner Hannah Swensen. Check out and read the book before the Nov. 19 meeting, then meet with fellow readers to discuss the book and eat one of the delicious recipes (chocolate chip cookies, perhaps?) contained in the book. Cook the Book participants are given the opportunity to volunteer to choose the following month’s book and pick and create one of the recipes for the other club members to enjoy. No registration is required. For more information, call (928) 532-4075.
