[ARCHIVED] Show Low Airport Unveils Display of Antique Airplane on Dec. 7

Public invited to open house from 11 a.m. to noon

SHOW LOW, Ariz. (November 26, 2018) – The public is invited to an open house on Friday, Dec. 7, from 11 a.m. to noon to view a model of one of the first airplanes to fly into Show Low. The open house will be held in the Show Low Regional Airport terminal, 3150 E. Airport Loop. The model, a one-third scale replica of an Aeronca Champion, was built by airport lineman and pilot Louis Booker, with assistance from local Experimental Aircraft Association members. The model mimics the color scheme of the original airplane and comes complete with an accurate registration. A plaque with information about the aircraft and the early days of Show Low Airport accompanies the model. Light refreshments will be served. Call (928) 532-4192 for more information.
