[ARCHIVED] Show Low Citizens Reminded That No Parking Allowed on City Streets During Snowstorms

Everyone is asked to help keep Show Low safe when storms hit

SHOW LOW, Ariz. (January 2, 2019) – With winter weather and safety in mind, Show Low citizens are reminded that all city roadways must be clear of vehicles during active snow plowing operations. Any vehicle parked on a city street must be moved off the street by the time the snow falls and the plows begin operating.

No declaration of a snow emergency is required. Cars parked on narrow streets pose a danger or make it impossible to plow the entire section of the roadway. Snow plowing equipment operates 24 hours a day, if needed, to clear city streets and ensure the safety of all citizens. It may be impossible to plow streets completely and successfully if they are blocked or obstructed by vehicles. Owners of vehicles parked on the street while the snow plows are working may be cited and/or their vehicles towed (at the owner’s expense).

The city’s snow management plan is posted to the website at showlowaz.gov under the Public Works tab. For more information, call the Public Works department at (928) 532-4100.
