Annual event to celebrate the Christmas season
SHOW LOW, Ariz. (November 30, 2020) - Can you hear the bell ringing? Join us again for our annual Polar Express event! This year we will have a drive-through event on Friday, Dec. 18, at Show Low Public Library, 181 N. 9th Street, instead of the traditional in-person festivities. Plan to enjoy this special Polar Express program where you can choose to drive-through at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. or 3 p.m. The event is in partnership with Show Low TV, Timber Mesa Fire and Medical District and Show Low Police Department.
Tickets will be available (one per car) at the library beginning on Tuesday, Dec. 1. Make sure to have your ticket ready for the conductor to stamp when you drive through. To help with traffic flow during the event, please follow these driving instructions: turn south onto 8th Street from the Deuce of Clubs, proceed east down Hall Street and enter the library’s drive-up book drop. Each child will receive a goodie bag and see Santa on his special fire truck! Included in the goodie bags will be information on how to watch an exclusive video of Show Low Police Chief Joe Shelley and Timber Mesa Fire Chief Bryan Savage reading “The Polar Express” by Chris Van Allsburg, just for you and your family. Remember to bring your Christmas letter to Santa so he knows what you are wishing for.
We look forward to seeing you at the Polar Express! For more information call the library at (928) 532-4070.
