The Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) is an FCC program to help families and households struggling to afford internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic. This new benefit will connect eligible households to jobs, critical healthcare services, virtual classrooms, Department of Economic Security (DES) Services, and so much more.
The DES Office of Community Engagement would like to share information about this program with you. The EBB program opens on May 12, 2021, for eligible individuals and households to enroll. Below is additional information and the link to the Toolkit.
To help bridge the digital divide, a coalition of Arizona government, education, and nonprofit organizations is requesting your assistance to implement a statewide initiative to get eligible low-income households registered for the EBB Emergency Broadband Program and their Lifeline Program. As of May 12, 2021, eligible households will be able to enroll in the EBB program to receive a monthly discount on the cost of broadband service from an approved provider. Eligible households can register through an approved provider or by visiting https://getemergencybroadband.org.
