  2. INTERNATIONAL OBSERVE THE MOON NIGHT

    International Observe the Moon Night is celebrated all over the world. Come participate in the library's event which will include several different activities for all ages. We will be building our our Mars Rovers, learning about the USPS stamp that was created to celebrate the moon, taking pictures with our green screen that puts you on the moon and creating special art work. We will also be showcasing a special NASA exhibit of moon rocks and meteorites as well as a space suit worn by an astronaut that walked on the moon! These exhibits are very unique and our library is the only library in the state of Arizona to have these. This event is made possible by our NASA @ My Library Grant. Telescopes will be available to view our beautiful moon as well as our glorious night sky! This is a special event and not to be missed!

  2. Trick or Treat Trail & Terror Trail

    Trick or Treat Trail-Check in begins at 5:30 PM at the Senior Field Concession Stand. Event begins at 6 PM-ages 10 & under. Dress in costume and walk with the ghosts & goblins along a half mile portion of the trail with a few spooky scares and lots of sweet treats. Terror Trail-following at 7PM at the Senior Field Concession Stand - ages 11 to 17 travel at your own pace while encountering more frightful sights along the 1.1 -mile city park trail. the first half mile teens will enjoy the silly spooks & hair raising fun of the spooky sprint course, but at the half mile point the scene will change and only the brave should enter if you dare! Advance wristbands for only $3 each are available at the Parks & Recreation desk at Show Low City Hall 180 N. 9th Street, or Show Low Family Aquatic Center, 1100 W. Deuce of Clubs, or available at the event for $5 each until sold out.
