Borrow
Youth ages 3-17 are welcome to have library accounts. A parent or guardian must be present for the library to issue a juvenile library card to a child, and the parent or guardian must have an existing account before the juvenile card(s) can be issued. The parent or guardian on record is financially responsible for all materials the juvenile cardholder checks out. If a juvenile account is deactivated due to charges for lost or damaged items, the parent or guardian on record, and all other associated accounts, will also be deactivated until the items are returned or the account balance is below $10.
Cardholder Responsibilities
Library account holders are responsible for all borrowed items. If your card is lost or stolen, please notify the help desk staff immediately. Replacement cards are available at the customer service desk. Cardholders are responsible for keeping contact information current. Notify the library if your email, phone number and/or address change. Courtesy reminders for overdue materials are only sent to valid email addresses.
Computer Guest Passes
The library provides adult guests with free passes for computer use and printing services. Guest passes provide two hours of free computer use per day; printing is an extra charge. Library materials may not be checked out with a guest pass.

There are no fees to borrow any library materials. Library cardholders may borrow up to 25 items at a time in any combination of the following:

Returns:
Many borrowed items (but not all) may be returned to any public library in Navajo County. Check the labels on library materials to learn if the item(s) must be returned to its home library and whether it must also be returned to the customer service desk.
For your convenience, Show Low Public Library has two outdoor returns, including a drive-up return on the north side of the building, and another outside the main entrance of the library building. A return box is also available at the customer service desk inside the library.
Fees:
Show Low Public Library does not charge overdue fees. However, if an item is not returned within 60 days of its due date, it will be assumed lost, and the cardholder will be billed for the full replacement cost of the item. Accounts may also be sent to a collection agency, and charged a non-refundable collections fee of $15.
Lost Or Damaged Items
Items that are damaged or lost will be assessed a fee based on the amount of damage. If the item must be replaced, the full cost will be billed, plus a $7 processing fee per item.
Unpaid Fees:
If the balance owed on a borrower's account is more than $10, the account will be automatically deactivated and the cardholder will not be able to borrow items, renew items, checkout holds, or use the library computers. Once the balance is below $10, the account will automatically be activated again.
Online Access:
Once you're a registered cardholder, you can access your online account to:
See what items you have checked out, when they’re due and if fees have been added to your account;
Update your contact information;
Update your password;
Renew items that are eligible for renewal;
Send library staff a question or comment;
Communicate with library staff to borrow items from another library, conduct research or suggest a purchase for our collection; and
Search for items and place “holds” for items that you would like to reserve
How to Renew Items
Most of the library's collection items can be renewed three times; however, if another account holder has put the item on hold, you will not be able to renew it.
